The honours ceremony took place on Dec. 7, marking the 10th anniversary of the event. Attendees from all over the world came together to celebrate and witness the exciting reveals and nominations that have occurred over the past few years. With increasing audience numbers each year, we can't help but speculate what the future holds for this event.

What Are the Game Awards?

The Game Awards is an annual ritual that honours achievements in the video game industry. It is like the Oscars for games, with its first edition taking place in 2014. During this event, popular games are awarded based on their performance, including plotline, playing capabilities, and music scores.

Geoff Keighley is hosting the show this year and has also presented the Spike Video Game Awards for more than 10 years. The plan for this year's Game Awards is to make it as big as the Grammys. Kimmie Kim joins Keighley as an executive producer, Richard Preuss as director, and LeRoy Bennett as creative director.

In addition to giving awards for the best games and performances, the show offers new information on previously announced titles. It's a source of information for gamers worldwide who want to learn more about their favourite games. The awards are also an opportunity to air premieres of upcoming games and provide release dates for highly anticipated games. This gives viewers everywhere a sneak peek at beloved video game franchises that have yet to air, offering a taste of what they can expect soon.

The Game Awards are often called the "gaming world Oscars" and receive over 103 million livestreams, making it one of the most popular shows in the industry. Game Award Nominee and News Predictions

There are plenty of popular games, and there have been several games released this year, and all of them have received positive feedback. However, it can be a challenge to determine which Game is likely to win the Game of the Year award, as many of them have the potential to win the grand "Oscars". Here are some possible predictions for the award.

  • Baldur's Gate III
  • Starfield
  • Spider-Man 2
  • Resident Evil 4: Remake
  • Final Fantasy XVI
  • Sea of Stars
  • Armored Core VI
  • Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
  • Hogwarts Legacy

Every year, six nominees are carefully chosen based on their popularity and gameplay and are eligible for the prestigious "Game of the Year" award. While "The Legend of Zelda: Tears of Kingdom" and "Baldur's Gate III" are strong contenders for the award, there is also a good possibility that other games may get nominated.

Apart from the awards, there are many speculations about the event. For example, people are eagerly anticipating news about the release of the highly anticipated Game GTA6. Although there is little information available about the topics that will be presented during the show, we can create some familiarised guesses founded on their popularity.

This year, the event moved to a bigger venue, the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, from the Microsoft Theater, which had hosted it in the past couple of years. The reason for the venue change is due to the increasing popularity of the event, which now attracts hundreds of millions of viewers both at the location and via live stream. The new venue aims to provide more space for people to join the festivities in person.

A limited number of tickets will be available for those who want to attend the event at the Peacock Theater. However, the show will be broadcast live on over 30 networks in the US and internationally, including India and China. Tickets for seats at the theatre will be available from Nov. 1, while livestream tickets can already be purchased online from the event's website.
